We are very aware of the cost drivers of our business and are nearly maniacal in our fixation to minimize those costs unassociated with Service Quality. Many of the cost drivers of our business can be very actively managed:

  • Density of Generators & Route Economics Unproductive Technician "Windshield Time" is the biggest source of waste in the field service industry. With our extensive geographic coverage, we are able to create considerable density of generator sites through accumulation. Likewise, we have invested in sophisticated GPS-based scheduling/routing software enabling the minimization of idle "Windshield Time"
  • Cooperation from Customers Site Access and Check-In/Check-Out processes can also create significant idle time for Technicians. We attempt to establish protocols with our Customers that meet their security concerns while also minimizing wait times and/or costly escort requirements. Many of the solution involve the application of technologies such as geo-mapping, electronic tagging/identification, etc.
  • Education & Training PPT maintains its own in-house Training Center to provide information on new products as well as to ensure that our technicians continuously develop and enhance their skills.
  • Overheads & Administrative Support "Lean and Mean" is our philosophy. You won't find us in lavish offices on expensive real estate. We started our business in an industry recession. Those lessons will not soon be forgotten.
