"keys" available to customers and their selected third-party service
providers.

is clear. Generator manufacturers are trying to monopolize service
by eliminating competition to their own expensive in-house service
groups. Without competition, these manufacturers will have the leverage
to charge exorbitant prices for repairs and other after-market services.

Have A Choice - Tell Them NO!
- Purchase
Generators from only those Manufacturers who are committed to
"Open Architecture", enabling Service and Repairs by your own
maintenance personnel and/or the Service Company of YOUR CHOICE.
- Insist on
receiving Fully-Enabled copies of All Software Keys for each generator
and transfer switch that you purchase, with full manuals and other
operating instructions.
